The story behind Pradosh Vrat
Pradosh Vrat falls on Trayodashi, the thirteenth tithi of each Paksha, and is observed in the evening twilight hour (Pradosh Kaal) dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is believed that worshipping Shiva during this window removes sins, cures ailments, and fulfills righteous desires.

Day Fast
Observe a fruit-only or water-only fast through the day, avoiding grains until the evening puja is complete.

Evening Bath & Preparation
Bathe again in the late afternoon and wear clean, preferably white, clothes before Pradosh Kaal begins.

Shiva Abhishek at Pradosh Kaal
Roughly 90 minutes before and after sunset, perform Abhishek of the Shiva Linga with water and milk while facing north or east.

Aarti & Parana
Conclude with Shiva Aarti and break the fast afterward with a simple satvik meal.
