Guru Purnima / Vyasa Purnima
🗓️ Ashadha Purnima (July)
The story behind Guru Purnima / Vyasa Purnima
Guru Purnima is dedicated to honoring Maharshi Ved Vyasa, who compiled the four Vedas, wrote the Mahabharata (including the Bhagavad Gita), and authored the Puranas. On this full moon day, disciples offer gratitude to their spiritual lineage (Guru Parampara), recognizing that the Guru is the guiding light who removes the darkness of ignorance.
